Rotimi Seton

Timi was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He graduated from Babcock University with a BSc and MSc in Computer science in 2009 and 2014 respectively. He was a lecturer at Babcock from 2013 – 2015 where he taught introduction to programming in C/C++. Timi moved to the USA in 2015 to pursue a PhD in computer science from the university of Louisville, KY. His dissertation focused on developing methodologies for explaining predictions from black box AI models. 
 
While at UofL, Timi completed two internship at Hussmann Corp and Brown-Forman. At Hussmann, his project focused on collecting data from commercial refrigerators used to train preventive maintenance models. At Brown-Forman, his work focused on building data pipelines for collecting data from disparate data sources for estimating the return on investment for online marketing efforts.
 
Timi joined LinkedIn after graduating from UofL and his work focuses on using AI to identify and solve sales and marketing bottlenecks at scale. 
 
Timi has a few academic publications and is still actively teaches programming to students and professionals transitioning to the world of computing and data.
