AKARIGO HOSTS VALUES OF AFFORDABLE EDUCATION FOUNDATION, PLEDGES ROYAL SUPPORT FOR EDUCATIONAL EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVES

The serene palace of His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, Torungbuwa II, Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, came alive today as the management team of the Values of Affordable Education Foundation (VOA Charity) paid a courtesy visit to the revered monarch in furtherance of their mission to deepen educational access, capacity building, and youth empowerment in Nigeria

The visiting delegation was led by the Foundation’s Founder and President, Dr. Olabisi Adekoya, a United States-based education advocate and humanitarian. She was accompanied by Dr. Olutola Egbeyode (Adviser), Justina Okechukwu (Media), Abdulrazak Adebayo (Community Outreach), Akeem Mohammed (Transportation), and Ebenezer Abanikanda (Transportation).

The team was ceremoniously ushered to the palace by Omo’ba Abiola gundeko, Chief Executive Officer of First Heritage Culture and Hospitality Limited and Publisher of Remo Culture and Tourism Magazine. Omo’ba Ogundeko, a long-standing friend of Dr. Adekoya and strategic communication partner to VOA Charity, facilitated the engagement as part of his commitment to building bridges between community-focused organizations and traditional institutions.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Adekoya expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Akarigbo for granting her team the rare privilege of an audience. She outlined the Foundation’s aims and objectives, which include making education accessible and affordable, fostering skills development, and creating life-changing opportunities for youth, women, and marginalized communities.

She recalled the Foundation’s active involvement in the 2024 Remo International Youth Day, marking the first time VI Charity participated in the event. Both the 2024 and 2025 editions received substantial support and sponsorship fron the Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RemoGDF).

Dr. Adekoya also highlighted previous collaborations with the Remo Youth Association and other local organizations, noting that VOA Charity’s interventions have gone beyond scholarships to include mentorship, technology access programs, and community outreach initiatives aimed at breaking barriers to quality education.

Responding warmly, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi commended the Foundation for its consistent investment in human capital development. He particularly praised their focus on youth, students, and women empowerment, describing such efforts as vital to the sustainable progress of Remoland and Nigeria at large.
The monarch encouraged VOA Charity to remain steadfast in implementing its set goals and assured them of his unwavering support.

Education remains the most potent tool for development. Your work is not just commendable; it is necessary, the Akarigo said. “Please be assured that whenever you call on us, we will respond.”
The Values of Affordable Education Foundation (a.k.a VOA Charity) was registered both in Nigeria and in the United States, VOA Charity is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting affordable, quality education as a pathway to breaking cycles of poverty. The Foundation’s initiatives span across:

As the visit concluded, both parties expressed optimism for deeper collaboration, especially in scaling education and empowerment projects that align with the monarch’s vision for Remoland’s socio-economic transformation.
