The founder of the non-governmental organisation Values for Affordable Education (VOA), Dr. Olabisi Adekoya, is set to speak at the ‘She Creates The Magic Within’ Conference organized by The Idea Mills Africa.
This Female Creatives, Innovators, and Disruptors’ Conference is scheduled to hold on the 29th of March, 2025, at Popcentral Haus, Lekki, Lagos.
In her remarks, the Founder expressed her gratitude to the organizers for the invitation, noting that it is timely and indispensable, considering the monumental roles women are playing in all areas of politics, business, and more.
Olabisi cited the example of the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Dr. Okonjo-Iweala; newly elected Namibian President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah; and many others who are leaving indelible footprints in the sands of time.
She emphasised that her gender truly creates magic in all its forms, starting from the home, which is the first agent of socialisation.
Adekoya explained that the fruits of their magic wands have begun to germinate, as the organizations they lead have never been caught off guard on the development path.
Meanwhile, she emphasised the success of VOA mentorship programme, where youths are mentored from Nigeria, UK, and United States, adding that the beneficiaries are from Gambia, Ghana and Nigeria for Cohort 3.
Dr. Olabisi noted the organisation is expanding its base in Africa, inspiring and empowering the youths not to look too far within themselves and Africa.
